Benny Andrews was born on November 13, 1930 in Madison, Georgia, the son of a sharecropper. He attended the Chicago Art Institute, where he received a BFA in 1958. Major collections include: the Museum of Modern Art, the Joseph H. Hirshorn Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of African Art, Washington DC. Benny is one of the original artists who formed the Rhino Horn group in the 60's. | |||||||||
